That's
Texan for "I'm glad you're here, now lets get formally
introduced."
My name is Greg. And I'm the trail boss at The Hausen'Pepper Trading Company. My brother, Marc, and I were raised
on hot peppers and cold beer in the West Texas oil
fields. And for nearly 30 years, we spent way too
much of our spare time searching for the perfect
jalapeno pepper recipe.
We chased down a lot of people who told us they
had created the perfect pickled jalapeno. But, as
Momma used to say, "You can put your boots in the
oven, but that don't make them biscuits." Anyway,
we just never could find anybody who was mixin'
up the ideal blend of spices to simmer the natural
heat of a jalapeno. Seems like most people just
didn't realize that hot's not much good without
tasty. So, I took matters into my own hands. I combined
the best of a dozen (or so) old Texas recipes to
come up with Chapsmackers.
At first, I just shared Chapsmackers with my close
friends. But my list of friends kept growing and
growing 'til pretty soon I figured that I wouldn't
have any friends if it weren't for Chapsmackers.
That's when I started the Hausen'Pepper Trading Company.
And now I've got friends in every state in the union.
There's a sort of brotherhood of pepper people out
there. If you're one of us, get in touch.
